Expert local carpet layer in Guildford

If so, then my name is MicheI Roberts and I have many years experience in the carpet trade, having been trained as a carpet layer by my father in the family carpet business way back in the mid 1970s.
I do not sell or supply carpets at all. Instead I offer a reliable labour only carpet laying / carpet fitting / carpet cleaning and carpet repair service to the residents of Guildford and surrounds who may already have their own carpet, whether new or used and who need an experienced carpet layer to help them with the laying or repairing of it.

I have carpet underlay, door bars and carpet gripper with me at all times, so in 90% of cases if I have given you an estimate I can get on with your job straight away if you want me to.
SMALL JOBS WELCOME
I positively welcome small carpet laying / carpet repair jobs. Unlike many carpet layers who work in pairs and who are only interested in larger jobs, I actually prefer smaller jobs as I usually work on my own.
This means that small jobs in Guildford that would not be economical for larger companies to be interested in, are worthwhile for me, as I am a small ‘One man band’ business, with low overheads to match.
This is particularly true if I can tie in doing your job with when I am already doing other work in the Guildford area or perhaps nearby.

I am happy to give you a rough idea of cost over the phone. Usually I will visit your home and give an exact quote when I see the job. More often than not I can get on with the work there and then if my quote is accepted. If not then there is no charge.

NO VAT
Businesses whose turnover is below 67,000 per annum are not required by law to register for or to charge VAT to their customers.
As I keep my turnover below this threshold, I do not add VAT to my quotes. This can mean a 20% saving for you compared to a larger companies charges.
RE-LAYING EXISTING CARPETS
The majority of my work is in re-laying or repairing older carpets that need attention from a carpet layer for one reason or another. They may have been taken up, maybe for building/decorating works. Perhaps your carpets are loose and baggy and need to be re-stretched.
You might have had new fitted bedroom wardrobes fitted and need a carpet layer to cut and relay the carpet back around the new fitted bedroom furniture.
Moving carpets from one room to another is a common request and easy to do.
